Appleton police bust marijuana operation

A joint investigation by the Outagamie County sheriff's department and Appleton police led to a marijuana growing operation in Appleton.

Appleton police Sergeant Dave Lund says officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 1200 block of Story Street today, and found nearly 100 marijuana plants.  He says that's a pretty significant amount.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Michael Arnoldussen for growing them.  Lund says police are recommending several charges.

Lund says the police and sheriff's departments started working together on drug and violent crime investigations in January.
