Power on, after problem at Bellin hospital
Bellin Hospital in Green Bay is back on regular power this afternoon, after a transformer problem forced parts of the hospital to run on its emergency system overnight, and through the morning.
John Rocheleau is Bellin's vice president of systems support services. He says the hospital was in the dark for about 15 minutes, starting around 10:15 p.m. while the hospital switched from main power, to the emergency backup. He says patients were not in danger.
Rocheleau says they'll examine the part in the transformer that failed...to see if there are ways to prevent future problems.
