Kaufert wants to reform food stamps

He says he's not trying to cut people off, but a Neenah lawmaker wants to make some changes to the food stamp program.

Republican Rep. Dean Kaufert says he would offer incentives to healthy shoppers, and limit the amount of junk food people can buy. He says they're spending taxpayer dollars, so they should be making healthy choices.

Kaufert says the state might need to ask the federal government for a waiver, and create a pilot program. He says Wisconsin could become a leader, just like it has been in welfare reform, and SeniorCare.
