Judge orders trial in downtown attack
A Menasha man will stand trial for a random 
attack in downtown Appleton.
A judge ruled there's enough evidence for 23-year-old Perry Hulbert to face several charges for beating, raping, and robbing a woman, less than a week ago. Hulbert was in Outagamie County court yesterday, for a preliminary hearing.
Court records say he dragged a woman into a parking lot, in the 300 block of N. Appleton Street, around 2 a.m. last Thursday morning. They say he sexually assaulted her, after hitting her numerous times.
Someone drove into the parking lot, and investigators say Hulbert grabbed the woman's purse, and ran off. They say they arrested Hulbert a short time later, while he was riding in a car that had been circling the area.
Records say the victim's wallet was in the car. Hulbert will be back in court, next month, for an arraignment.
