U.S. Venture Open set for Aug. 14
The fundraising goal for this summer's U.S. Venture Open will be $2 million.
Organizer Sarah Schmidt says they always try to raise more money than the previous year, because they want to make a bigger impact, through the U.S. Venture Fund for Basic Needs.
This year's golf outing will be on August 14, and former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver will headline the event.
Last year's outing brought in nearly $1.9 million. Registration for golfers will start in June.
