Expect major police presence this weekend

If you're going out for St. Patrick's Day this weekend, a lot of Appleton police officers will be out of the streets.

Sgt. Dave Lund says they're adding 23 officers to watch for drunk drivers. They'll be added to the officers that already patrol the downtown area on weekends, along with officers from the OWI task force.

Lund says they'll have more officers on the streets than any other weekend of the year.

The Green Bay police department and Brown County OWI task force will also have extra officers patrolling for drunk drivers this weekend.
