Supper clubs turning to Facebook
A group of local supper clubs is reaching out to a younger crowd.
Steve Krabbe owns Krabbe's Kountry Klub in Seymour. He says a lot of people between 20 and 40 years old didn't grow up going to supper clubs, and they might not know what they have to offer. Krabbe says supper clubs have a more laid back atmosphere than many chain restaurants, and they're more affordable.
Krabbe says six of the restaurants are pooling their advertising budgets to create a Facebook ad campaign that showcases their businesses, and offers special discounts.
Krabbe says he hopes they can introduce a new generation to Wisconsin's long supper club history. He says the supper club group is comprised of the Colonial House in Freedom, the River Rail in Shiocton, and four places in Seymour. They're Krabbe's Kountry Klub, Doxbees, the Hotel Seymour, and the Five Corners supper club.
