Assignment Fox Cities

In light of the death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman from an apparent overdose, we are advancing our Assignment Fox Cities on heroin use and abuse to run on-air Thursday, February 6th.   In the story, MEG Unit Project Manager Brad Dunlap tells us the incursion of heroin into the Fox Valley is a serious problem.  On a scale of 1 to 10 it's a solid 10.
Dunlap says the potency of the heroin coming here is strong, but the purity has decreased, so it's dangerous to the end-user.   In addition, he speaks directly to parents, because high school students are being targeted.   You'll also hear that the number of seizures by law enforcement is up; so are the overdose numbers.
     You can hear it on WHBY Thursday, February 6th, at 6:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. It's worth a listen.

Our two-part series on human trafficking will run the week of February 24th.
