"Attack of the Crickets"

Monday, Sep, 1 2014

"HowzYer Weekend?" leads off the Tuesday PhilCast, with stories from three full days of holiday weekend.

Among them, the story of the invasion of crickets I've suddenly got at our house.

Also, the latest area restaurant I visited for the first time.
I'm thinking with as much as I talk about dining out I need to come up with some sort of show-related thing like Guy Fieri came up with. But instead of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives what would I call it?

In addition to "HowzYer" we'll also have a baby watch report from Reggie.

Did it happen over the weekend?
Or will it just be crickets on that front as well?

Check out this wiener!

Friday, Aug, 29 2014

I don't know, but as a guy who loves a good hot dog this just isn't doing it for me.

There it is...the new world record; The world's most expensive wiener.

At a whopping $169.00 (plus tax) you can buy this thing in Seattle...just order out a couple of weeks in advance they ask.

What's all that stuff on there that makes it so expensive?

I'll have the story on the Friday PhilCast.

I highly doubt anyone will be grilling up some of these over the Labor Day Weekend.

Once in a blue lobster

Wednesday, Aug, 27 2014

A Maine lobsterman says he and his 14-year-old daughter caught a one-in-two-million crustacean: a blue lobster.

It's just so freaky to see a lobster in this color.

And hey, come to think of it, add a little yellow and it's in the official PhilCast colors!

Mother of all "No Parking" signs

Tuesday, Aug, 26 2014

The photo to your right is very-much real, a mess of a sign telling you when you can and can not park there in Culver City near Los Angeles.

I had to laugh when I saw this simply thinking that THIS is what's coming next here in Appleton.

As I tweeted with this photo, do not let council members see this or they might get some bad ideas.

Yes, on my bucket list is to be the one who helped push for a change....to drop having to have change to feed meters in downtown Appleton after 6:00 p.m.

We can dream, can't we?
