Would YOU eat it?

Wednesday, Jul, 11 2012

The Wisconsin State Fair is less than a month away and now the list of new (and rather goofy in some cases) foods being offered this year is out. I'll go over the list today and ask the question, "Would YOU eat this stuff?"

Some of it....check that....MOST of it just seems to be an attempt at being ridiculous. But there are a few items that actually sound like I might be able to try them just for the heck of it.

Also on the Wednesday show we'll go to Iola, Wisconsin for a preview interview about this year's Iola Old Car Show which is getting underway now.

And in Brazil there are some prisoners doing something rather unique in an attempt to get out a little earlier for their efforts.

Army Strong

Tuesday, Jul, 10 2012

So the U.S. Army is pulling out of its long-time sponsorship in NASCAR. That's the story today, but it turned me on to something else related to this story.

Not only will you not see this car on the race track, but I learned that a couple of lawmakers have actually been fighting for a bill to ban the military from advertising in the sports world.

My question is why?

If the military already has money budgeted for marketing/recruiting then what difference does it make if it wants to advertise to the NASCAR crowd?

What am I missing here?

I've also got news about Russ Feingold and an Olympic update planned for today.

Oh, and I need someone who saw last night's episode of American Pickers to join me on the phone today because I have a question for you.

HowzYerWeekend?

Monday, Jul, 9 2012

We'll chat our weekends on the show today in the first hour as usual. Mine came close to a 10, but wasn't perfect for one main reason. There was a clear superstar to my weekend as well.
Hint: that superstar is in this picture...
And I took the plunge over  the    weekend too. I'll explain it all coming up today.

Bucca is opening today....again....after a fire at the new Italian eatery in Grand Chute. We'll chat about that as well.

And Jerry Seinfeld is going to debut a new project soon. I'm interested for a specific aspect of it.

The bulls are running again.

Talk this afternoon.....

Infected?

Friday, Jul, 6 2012

The DNS Changer. Do you know about this? It's bad news for your computer and you may not even know about it or know you have been infected some time ago. But come Monday those who are in infected could lose internet service, not a place you want to be.

So serious is this attack that the FBI has actually set up a safety net and a web site for people to check to see if they are infected. If you are, they also provide links to clean you up in time before losing service on Monday.

I am always skeptical, but I myself tried this site and it all worked fine. It told me me computer is NOT infected. You can check too, just click here to get to the same site I used to check.

I'll talk more about this on the show today. And in the 4:00 hour let us know what's up this weekend in our "Chadoin' This Weekend?" segment. You can post on the PhilCast Facebook fan page or call us live to chat at 281-1150 or 1-866-887-1150.

Record heat

Thursday, Jul, 5 2012

Back on the air in record heat this afternoon after a hot 4th of July break. We'll begin the PhilCast with a Tour de France update right after the Brewers' bullpen somehow figures out another way to blow a game.

I'll also vent about a Wisconsin video that has gone viral this week.
