Stop it. Stop it now.

Monday, Apr, 28 2014

One of the stories I will be talking about on the Monday PhilCast involves a 32-year-old North Carolina woman who won't make it to 33.

Why?

The picture says it all.

Not only was she texting & driving but the real irony here is the ridiculousness of the content of the text.

She was posting a message on Facebook telling the world that the song "Happy" made her feel happy.

Then she lost control of her car, hit a truck and died.

Hope it was worth it lady.
Enjoy your dirt nap.

DON'T TEXT AND DRIVE KIDS.

....And yes, I yelled that, thus the all caps.

Pancake Jesus

Friday, Apr, 25 2014

Here it is.

Another Jesus sighting, this time in a pancake.

I'll have the 'scoop' on the Friday PhilCast, which goes religious today with another story about a guy who was killed when a giant cross fell on him!

War on guns

Thursday, Apr, 24 2014

In Wausau some kids are in trouble for being a part of a shootout....
with Nerf guns.

I'll have the story on the PhilCast today.

Did what they do merit getting citations and naughty marks on the dreaded 'personal file'?

Um, it's a toy.
That's a hint as to where I come down on this story.

It pays to play dumb

Wednesday, Apr, 23 2014

Sometimes it pays to screw up.

Today on the PhilCast I have a couple of related stories regarding household chores and repairs.

I've got a great list of the ways guys screw up basic cleaning chores around the house. This has worked to our advantage in the long run.

The second and related list is of basic household repairs that used to be thought of as 'man's work' around the house but nowadays, not so much.

Also on the Wednesday show, People Magazine's Most Beautiful Person.

And some audio from last night's Late Night, when Dave and Colbert got together on the show before the passing of the torch that is still to come.

Status Symbols

Tuesday, Apr, 22 2014

One of the stories I'll be talking about on the Tuesday show is one that compares what we consider today's status symbols, and what they were back in the 80's.

It's a pretty eye-opening list.
Why?

Things we thought were soooo cool in the 80's...things only 'fancy people' had back then are mostly things we all take for granted here in 2014.

Hint:

And in fact, what's really interesting to me is the fact that of the two lists, only ONE ITEM shows up on both as being a status symbol in the 80's and still now as well.

We'll discuss.

Oh, it's Earth Day....
Hug a tree or something I guess.
