We go to Indy Friday

Friday, May, 22 2015

I'll open up the Memorial Day Weekend Friday show with a trip down to Indy to talk about the Indy 500 with long-time Journal/Sentinel motor sports writer and friend of the PhilCast Dave Kallmann reporting.

Covering racing over the course of a few decades for the paper, Dave has forgotten more about racing than many people ever knew. So I always like to hear what he has to say about what is called the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing."

Because she was on the PhilCast earlier in the week, of course I'll be cheering for Pippa Mann in the pink and white car. But do I think she'll win it all?

It's tough to say who will drink the traditional milk from the glass bottle in Victory Circle at the end of a long day, but here goes...

Will Power.

(I know, if you don't follow Indy racing that name sounds like it's made up. It's not.)

--Proven champion

--Fast car

--Great team behind him

--Motivated...the one thing missing from his long list of accomplishments is a win at the Indy 500, something every Indycar driver wants on his resume.

The "Tray Typer"

Thursday, May, 21 2015

Here it is...
The Tray Typer

KFC is trying these out in Germany and they're a big hit.

No one wants to use their phone while eating greasy chicken and certainly in this day and age no one can dare put their phone down and not use it while they eat!

Solution; The Tray Typer.

It connects to your phone and you can type away on your tray while you down that greasy chicken.

I guess you can say this thing is
"Finger Clickin' Good".

Indy 500 driver on the Wed. PhilCast

Wednesday, May, 20 2015

Pippa Mann, the first-ever British-born female driver to race in the Indy 500 joins me on the show today at 4:45-ish.

This will be her fourth Indy 500 start, and she is one of two female drivers that will be in the field on Sunday.

Watch for the pink and white #63 car sponsored by Susan G. Komen, raising awareness of breast cancer with the colors.

The countdown is on

Tuesday, May, 19 2015

Today is Media Day for the drivers of the 99th Indy 500 coming up this Sunday.

So, with that fact in mind, I decided to see if Reggie the Executive Producer could land one of the drivers to come on the PhilCast for an interview with me live this afternoon.

It doesn't matter which one.
Any of the 33 would do just fine.

It's all about the hunt.
I wonder how it will all turn out?

Will he secure an interview with a driver on Indy 500 Media Day?

We'll see.

Food porn

Friday, May, 15 2015

Coming to Hardee's this week;

They call this the "Most American Thick Burger" and it's a burger, hot dog and potato chips all in one.

1,030 calories
64 grams of fat.

Good luck.

I'll also have a couple other new and rather unique food items coming out in the near future when we talk food porn on the Monday show.
