Watch this; Gorilla gets revenge on kids

Wednesday, Jun, 26 2013

BWAHHAAA!! I LOVE this video clip.

Watch as a gorilla in a zoo takes all kinds of taunting from some kids...then decides to let 'em have it.

Fantastic.

Another crazy concept

Tuesday, Jun, 25 2013

Do you know this guy?

Well, I do....now.

And I'm going to be talking about him today on the Tuesday PhilCast show.

I mean...
Just look at that magnificent son-a-gun.

What a country.

Talk to you at 3:00-ish.

Super Moon

Monday, Jun, 24 2013

Did you see it?

Wow, what great shot here.

The Super Moon was part of the weekend that was...but I actually missed it.

What I DID NOT miss was the made-for-TV event known as "Skywire" at the Grand Canyon last night.

I'll open the PhilCast "HowzYer Weekend?" segment talking about how it sucked me in, and what I thought was the funniest part of the entire production.

Time for Miss Wisconsin

Friday, Jun, 21 2013

Saturday night we'll crown a new Miss Wisconsin, who will compete for Miss America this fall.

So, being somewhat of a pageant junkie, today on the PhilCast I'll have two contestants on live from Oshkosh to talk about the proceedings thus far this week.

Joining me will be two of the women who won a local pageant I was a judge for back in March.

That's Miss Fond du Lac on the left, Marissa Wier and on the right is Michelle Victoria Neumann, Miss Wisconsin Central.

Listen in right after the 3:30 news.

And right after the 4:30 news find out what's going on in the Valley when we do "Chadoin' This Weekend?" on the show.

Roses are more than red my love

Thursday, Jun, 20 2013

Hosting a talk radio show like the PhilCast, based on a local guy talking about local and everyday 'stuff', gives me the opportunity to forge some wonderful partnerships with local businesses. In just over a year on the air we've made all kinds of friends with local advertisers.

We don't just 'air commercials' on the show, we chat with the people who run those businesses and learn all kinds of stuff about them and their products and services. And you know what I always tell listeners....you need to support those who support us....that's how this all works.

Yesterday on the show while talking to Joe at Van Zeeland's Nursery he was telling me about some beautiful roses in bloom there. These are some of the pictures he sent me.

Like I said during our chat, roses nowadays are so much more hearty than they used to be.

And the colors....

Wow.

More pictures....

This one has got to be one of my favorites.

I can hardly wait to get moved in and settled in next month.

Once the inside of the new house is unpacked it'll be time to start on some plants and landscaping outside.

And I know my friends Joe and Steve at Van Zeeland's will be getting a call. Because like I said, we need to support those who support the show.

One more thing today....
During the "Famous Dave's The Last" segment yesterday, caller Mike talked about the fairy garden he was doing with his kid. Fairy garden? Well, of course after I stopped giggling like a little girl over the name, he explained what it was to me. Mike also sent me a picture of it....
