We go to Indy Friday

I'll open up the Memorial Day Weekend Friday show with a trip down to Indy to talk about the Indy 500 with long-time Journal/Sentinel motor sports writer and friend of the PhilCast Dave Kallmann reporting.

Covering racing over the course of a few decades for the paper, Dave has forgotten more about racing than many people ever knew. So I always like to hear what he has to say about what is called the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing."

Because she was on the PhilCast earlier in the week, of course I'll be cheering for Pippa Mann in the pink and white car. But do I think she'll win it all?

Nope.

It's tough to say who will drink the traditional milk from the glass bottle in Victory Circle at the end of a long day, but here goes...

Will Power.

(I know, if you don't follow Indy racing that name sounds like it's made up. It's not.)

--Proven champion

--Fast car

--Great team behind him

--Motivated...the one thing missing from his long list of accomplishments is a win at the Indy 500, something every Indycar driver wants on his resume.
