A government watchdog group says two races in northeast Wisconsin for state Senate are among the top in the state for spending from outside groups.
The Wisconsin Democracy Campaign says the total is almost $1 million for the 1st Senate District race between Democratic Sen. Caleb Frostman of Sturgeon Bay and Republican Rep. Andre Jacque of De Pere. That’s tops in the state.
Groups have also put more than $530,000 into the 19th Senate District race between Republican Sen. Roger Roth of Appleton and Democrat Lee Snodgrass of Appleton.
