In his first term in the State Senate Roger Roth was chosen by his peers to serve as Senate President, putting him in a leadership role in the upper legislative chamber. Despite that role, bills he sponsored to close the “dark store loophole” and save jobs at Kimberly-Clark never even came up for a vote.
First-time candidate and Outagamie County Democratic Party Chair Lee Snodgrass is challenging Roth, saying he is not the independent voice he claims. She wants to do more to help working people and protect those with pre-existing conditions.
Roth and Snodgrass faced off in a debate on Fresh Take where they explored these issues, as well as funding for public education and roads. Listen to both sides before you cast your ballot in this pivotal race, with control of the State Senate on the line.
