About a week after he was stabbed, Green Bay Police K-9 Pyro is continuing his recovery at home.
Commander Kevin Warych says Pyro was released from the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center in Grand Chute over the weekend. He says while he still has a long way to go, Pyro is hitting milestones every day. He believes it’s very inspiring to see where Pyro was, and where he is today.
Warych says Pyro needs to remain calm, so they didn’t have a big celebration when he left the veterinary hospital. He says once Pyro is ready, they’re planning to do something for the community to thank everyone for their support.
Brown County prosecutors filed charges against the stabbing suspect last week.
