Governor Evers is signing a bill that creates new tiers of sign language interpreters.
The state will set guidelines for advanced and intermediate license for both deaf and hearing interpreters.
Democratic Rep. Jonathan Brostoff of Milwaukee refused to cut his hair for a year-and-a-half as a stunt to pressure Majority Republicans to take up his proposal. His hair had ballooned into a thick, curly mop by the time the Assembly and Senate passed the proposal last month. He cut his hair days later.
