For the first time in more than a decade, the Appleton school district is changing its logo.
Superintendent Judy Baseman says they wanted to keep the “apple” theme. The new logo features three interlocking apples of different colors. Baseman says that’s supposed to represent diversity, partnerships, and strength.
Baseman says the three apples can also signify the district’s focus on helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
She says they wanted to make the change, after creating a new vision statement of “Success for Every Student, Every Day.”
The district showed off the new logo, while welcoming back all of the staffers for the upcoming year this morning. Everyone got together at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.
The first day for students in Appleton is next Tuesday.
