Police and other first responders were able to connect with kids in a different setting yesterday.
The NEW Zoo and Adventure Park in Suamico hosted Zip with a Hero. Children could race one of them on the dual zip lines.
Green Bay Police Officer Kamra Allen says it’s a way to show kids that officers aren’t there to scare them, arrest them, or take them to jail. She says they’re there to help, and they’re people too.
It was the first time the park held the event. Firefighters and sheriff’s deputies were also there.
