A 20-year-old man is now charged with abusing his five-week-old child. Victor Shinkarenko was in Brown County Court yesterday.
The baby girl is in a hospital with a skull fracture, internal bleeding and bruising.
According to court records a doctor who examined the child said the baby also suffered bruising on the right knee, lower back and right ear.
Scabs were found on the back of her head.
Shinkarenko says he knows what he did was wrong.
The alleged abuse happened at the family’s apartment in the Village of Bellevue.
Shinkarenko is being held on a $20,000 bond.
His next court appearance is November 13
