New trade deals that Congress will consider should be good news for farmers.
That’s the feeling of Congressman Glenn Grothman of Glenbulah. He says agreements with Japan, Mexico, and Canada open the door for Wisconsin products.
A main sticking point in previous trade deals with Canada and Mexico was tariffs on Wisconsin milk and dairy products.
Grothman also thinks the immigration situation is better at the Mexican border. He says the number of asylum seekers is down dramatically this fall.
