Valley Transit is sanitizing the inside of buses every night to guard against coronavirus.
There aren’t any cases in northeast Wisconsin.
General Manager Ron McDonald says they’re focusing on handrails, seats, and things that riders commonly touch. He says they’re working to put hand sanitizer on every bus, as well.
McDonald says they’re also sanitizing doorknobs and other things the transit center in downtown Appleton, every day.
McDonald is recommending that riders follow the CDC’s recommendations for washing their hands, and coughing or sneezing into their elbow area.
