The bankrupt Menominee Nation arena in Oshkosh misses the deadline for paying its property taxes–again. Fox Valley Pro Basketball failed to make its 109-thousand payment to the city by the March 31st deadline. Attorney Jerome Kerkman blames the interruption of business at the arena due to the Governor’s “shelter at home” order last month. The failure to pay the property taxes on time puts in jeopardy the arena’s tax incremental financing payments–which Fox Valley Pro Basketball is looking to sell to an investor to create operating capital for when it emerges from bankruptcy.
