People will have to wait a year to learn about the state’s connections to the Titantic at the Oshkosh Public Museum.
Spokeswoman Tammy Malewski says they’re going to delay a special exhibit until July of 2021.
She says about 700 people went through the museum every day, when they had Titanic artifacts on display in 2006. Museum officials are concerned about how to handle that potential demand, during the coronavirus pandemic.
Malewski says the new exhibit will incorporate the stories of people from Wisconsin, along with artifacts from the ship. About 50 people either lived in Wisconsin or were immigrating to the state.
In its place, the museum is planning to show off local artifacts in the main gallery.
