Appleton Police release more information on an incident that shut down a portion of East North Street this (Monday) afternoon. Officers were called to a residence in the 300-block just after 1:00 on the report of an alleged home invasion involving a weapon. A person was eventually taken into custody following a standoff. The suspect will be charged with trespassing and damage to property. North Street reopened to traffic around 3:15.
