A Green Bay man has been charged with Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide in a shooting at the Little Wolf River in Waupaca County.
According to court records, Cornelius Russell was with the victim’s cousin on a tubing trip when the men had a disagreement about litter. The victim told detectives he had known Russell for about eight years. The victim also told investigators that Russell showed him his gun at one point and the victim asked why he had a gun on a tubing trip.
Russell is also charged with being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Obstructing an Officer. He’s scheduled to appear in court this afternoon. If convicted, Russell faces a maximum of 60 years in prison.
