The Neenah Joint School District says a suspect is in custody after a police situation at the high school Monday afternoon.
“Secure school” situations were lifted at the High School, Tullar Elementary, and Hoover Elementary.
At 12:52 p.m. the Neenah Police department was notified of a “potential threat of a gun outside Neenah High School.”
The high school immediately went into lockdown, in addition to Tullar and Hoover Elementary schools, while authorities responded.
According to a release from the district, at approximately 1:35 p.m. the suspect was arrested and taken into custody outside of the Neenah Police Department.
The suspect does not attend Neenah High School.
There is no threat to students or the community at this time.
The secure school situations at NHS, Hoover and Tullar have been lifted. The situation is resolved and a suspect is in custody. There is no further threat to the school or the community.
