Appleton International Airport will be able to perform some overdue maintenance and expand some operations through a federal grant. The Federal Aviation Administration awards Appleton International nearly $3.1-million for the first year of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Airport Director Abe Weber says there’s a long list of projects that have been on hold.
Weber says the impact will be felt beyond the Fox Cities.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will provide $39.7-million to eight Wisconsin airports. That includes just over $2.8-million to Green Bay-Austin Straubel International Airport.
