The Wisconsin Elections Commission fines a New London man for his continuous complaints about elections in the state. Peter Bernegger is ordered to pay the WEC $2,400, which is one dollar for each of the fraud allegations he has filed since the 2020 election. One of his complaints cited 2,352 allegations with no evidence — all of which were found to be without basis. Bernegger tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel he plans to appeal all of those rulings to a circuit court. Bernegger has also filed civil lawsuits against eight elected officials in the past year, including Assembly Speaker Robin Vos for what he alleges is failing to enforce election laws. Bernegger has previous convictions on his criminal record for mail and bank fraud.
