Kaukauna officials say development of an apartment complex and hotel remain on track–despite some changes with the developer. In a statement provided to WHBY News, Mayor Tony Penterman says Harvest Development will continue to head up construction of the hotel at the former Gustman’s site along Lawe Street on the north side of the city. Meanwhile, the investor group behind Harvest is forming another limited liability company that will oversee construction of the adjacent apartment building. Penterman adds that ground breaking for the apartments is still expected to take place in May–with the hotel project launching at the end of summer or during the fall. Kaukauna has committed tax incremental financing for both projects.
