Frustrations over a lack of leadership are leading a public health officer in southcentral Wisconsin to resign.
Tim Lawther wrote in a letter that the virus is being turned into “a political tool.” He plans to quit on October 14th.
Sauk County Board Chair Tim McCumber says it was difficult to reach a unanimous consensus of county board members, because they have varying views. He also believes Lawther’s handling of the response was likely off-putting to some, because of his personality.
