(WASHINGTON, D.C.)–A Fond du Lac Police officer who died from COVID-19 that was contracted while on-duty is remembered in the nation’s
capital. Officer Joseph Kurer is among the 619 fallen officers whose names were added Sunday to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in
Washington D.C. Members of Kurer’s family and fellow officers were on hand for the dedication. Detective Camille Vandermolen tells Action 2 News
the family and fellow officers are grateful for the tribute.
Officer Kurer was 26-years-old when he died last September. He’s survived by his wife and two children.
