GRAND CHUTE, Wis. — The leader of the Grand Chute Fire Department is retiring.
Chief Timothy Bantes announces his retirement, effective July 6.
Bantes has served as the town’s fire chief the last 15 years. Prior to joining the department in 2005 as assistant chief of training, he served as a firefighter, paramedic and lieutenant.
In a statement, Bantes said he is sincerely humbled and honored to have had the opportunity to serve the Grand Chute community for the past 17 years.
