CHILTON, Wis–More criminal charges are filed in connection with the discovery of murder victim Starkie Swenson last year. John Andrews is now charged in Calumet County Court with Obstructing an Officer.
According to the criminal complaint, investigators questioned Andrews in 2021 about the whereabouts of Swenson’s body, shortly before hikers in High Cliff State Park discovered the remains. Prosecutors initially tried to charge Andrews with Hiding a Corpse, but a judge ruled the details in the criminal complaint did not meet the standards of that crime.
Andrews was convicted in 1994 on a reduced charge of Homicide by Negligent Use of a Vehicle–and served a two year prison term. Swenson disappeared in 1983.
