OSHKOSH, Wis–One person is injured in an officer-involved shooting in Oshkosh. Police were called to the Mill Street boat launch around 6:20 a.m. Thursday on the report of an intoxicated man walking around and carrying a loaded rifle.
Officers asked the man to put the weapon down, but he refused, and eventually pointed it at them. That’s when one officer shot the man, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer was not hurt. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
