GREENVILLE, WI — The expansion of Appleton International Airport’s terminal gets a big boost from the State of Wisconsin. Governor Tony Evers announces $7 million in state funding for the terminal project. That announcement is part of a statewide tour promoting the 2023-2025 state budget. Governor Evers says the new state spending plan provides major funding support for local communities and to advance projects like the airport expansion in the short-term.
Airport Manager Abe Weber says the hope is to attract more passengers and offer some currently limited flights as year-round destinations.
Appleton International Airport is also building a new hangar to accommodate an anticipated increase in private and charter flights for the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay.
