APPLETON, WI — A 16-year-old boy is charged in the Monday afternoon Erb Park shooting. Cashmere Williams of Appleton is charged with one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Court documents show Williams approached the victim from behind armed with a semi-automatic pistol and opened fire. The victim was struck in the arm by gunfire, ran from the scene and survived. The victim tells investigators he believes he heard six shots fired. During a court appearance today, the judge set a $750,000 cash for Cashmere Williams and ordered no contact with the victim, to stay away from Erb Park and not to possess a firearm. Williams is due back in Outagamie County Court on August 7. He faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
