OSHKOSH, Wis–The Oshkosh Common Council will reconsider limitations put on a proposed housing development. Red Earth LLC is looking to build around 500-units in a high-density development along Lake Butte des Morts Drive.
Concerns raised by those living in the adjoining town of Oshkosh led the Council to limit the height of the buildings to just three stories, instead of the original four. Red Earth now claims that it cannot make the economics of the plan work with the shorter buildings.
Council member Karl Buelow believes the city should drop the restrictions to make it work…
There are four new members on the council since the original development plan was approved. One member that was on the council at the time, Michael Ford, believes that original decision should stand…………
Red Earth would have to go through the entire development approval process if it wants to construct its four-story buildings.
