APPLETON, WI — Appleton Director of Public Works Danielle Block is resigning from her job effective June 7th. Block informed the city earlier this week of her decision. Mayor Jake Woodford says Block’s announcement came as a surprise to everyone at city hall. Block was hired as public works director in May of 2022. She’d previously served as Village Administrator in Kimberly. In announcing her resignation this week, Block said she’s returning to Kimberly as village administrator.
