Today on Outside the Box, Ben had 56th District State Representative Dave Murphy on the show. He was first elected into office in 2013 and is currently running for a 6th term.
On the show, Murphy discussed past accomplishments such as settling a dispute between Outagamie and Brown County libraries, speaking out about the importance of expanding Interstate 41, and addressing the Highway 15 project.
Murphy highlighted the recent closure of UW Oshkosh’s Fox Valley branch and discussed funding for public universities, stating we have to be smart with our funding.
Additionally, Murphy gave his insight into the childcare shortage, “We have come up with proposals for credits for childcare, and I think what Republicans are trying to do is make childcare affordable for everybody and give them the opportunity to have childcare, but not to make a new entitlement out of childcare.”
