Brown County authorities have positively identified the bodies to two children recovered from the bay of Green Bay Monday. The Brown County Medical Examiners offices says the victims are five-year-old Charlotte Salnik and three-year-old Joshua Salnik. They were sailing with their father 32-year-old Bill Slanik Saturday when contact was lost. The children were wearing floatation vests when their bodies were found about five hours after the18-foot sailboat they were on was found capsized. The search for Bill Salnik is now in its fourth day.

Searchers have recovered the bodies of two young children last seen Saturday in a sailboat with their father before the vessel went missing. The sailboat was found this morning capsized in the bay of Green Bay. The U.S. Coast Guard says the 18-foot vessel “My Lady Blue” was located south of Chambers Island and towed to Fish Creek. The search continues for the children’s father 32-year-old Bill Salnik.

BAY OF GREEN BAY, Wis. — A sailboat belonging to a missing Little Suamico man and his two young children is found.
The U.S. Coast Guard says the vessel was located near Chambers Island and is being towed to Fish Creek.
The discovery came as crews were searching for Bill Salnik and his kids, who were sailing on Green Bay. The three were last seen near Egg Harbor and Green Island and have not been heard from since around 5 p.m. Saturday.
