APPLETON, Wis–Appleton residents enjoy the best tasting water in the state. The Wisconsin American Water Works Association bestows that honor on the water produced by the Appleton utility.
Appleton gets its water from Lake Winnebago and then treats it with what the association calls “cutting edge” technology to remove micro-organisms and other contaminants. Appleton is now eligible for the National Tap Water Taste Test in Denver.
