As Election Day nears, plenty of attention is being paid to the race for President. At the end of the day though, that race will not impact your life nearly as much as the local races.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I intend to interview as many local candidates as possible to get an idea for what the future of the Fox Cities could potentially look like, and I figured there was no better place to start than in my own neck of the woods.
Duane Shukoski shared his story about how he made it to where he is in life, and I personally found it to be very unique. He offers a blend of compassion mixed with business sense that would be welcomed in our state government.
During our chat, we talked about his early life, work history, and experience working with unions. Then we pivoted into a number of topics on the minds of Wisconsinites not just in the 53rd district, but all over the state, including access to childcare, healthcare, renewable energy, and abortion access.
