The devastation from Hurricane Helene has brought unimaginable flooding to many areas, leaving some people with nothing.
The storm has killed at least 200 people and caused widespread devastation throughout the Southeast.
Food, water and other supplies are being flown to some areas left unreachable by the storm, and humanitarian groups are gathering aid to help. You’ll find information on how to donate to those humanitarian groups in the links below,
On a local front, six firefighters with the Appleton Fire Department joined the Wisconsin Task Force 1 team to assist with search and rescue efforts in North Carolina in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
There are also a few local businesses looking to help. Here’s what we’ve found so far, if you’re looking to support those efforts.
A local church will host a collection spot gathering essential items for the Asheville Police Department to distribute.
