Dave Edwards-a wine NOT red?
I know…what a concept. In the vast world of wine, I will admit that we predominantly drink red wines. But every now and then….
And this was actually a mistake! We had expected a small shipment of wine from a company we do business with, and they messed up the order. In the shipment was a few bottles of white wine and a bottle of Pinot Noir Rose~ from New Zealand. What an unexpected surprise!
Dunnolly is the name of the winemaker, and this little pearl was very good, despite our propensity to drink big, bold reds! We have been pleasantly consuming a few Pinot Noir Rose~ offerings this year in our travels. This one did not disappoint! Very flavorful, slightly sweet but not overwhelmingly, and good with some cheese and crackers or even a great salmon!
What made this experiment even more tasty is that the wine company said to keep the improperly delivered whites and we’ll send you your original order of reds…no extra charge!
That’s service…and a very tasty one at that!
