OSHKOSH, Wis. — A disturbance where an airsoft handgun was used to make threats puts Oshkosh West High School on lockdown for a short time.
Police were called to the skate park in Red Arrow Park just after 12:35 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a disturbance involving several juveniles.
It was there that one showed a handgun, which sent the group running to the 1000 block of N. Lark Street.
A 16-year-old boy allegedly took out the facsimile gun, began pointing it at several people and made threats to kill them.
A police officer located the teen with the weapon and attempted to make contact before he fled on foot. The boy was taken into custody a short time later on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting an officer and recklessly endangering safety.
No one was injured in the disturbance.
