DE PERE, Wis. — Two people are hurt in a De Pere house fire.
Crews were called to a townhome along Scheuring Road around 12:15 a.m. Monday on the report of a cooking fire.
Police and a neighbor used fire extinguishers to put out the flames before firefighters arrived.
The person living there and the neighbor were treated on-scene for smoke inhalation.
Investigators believe unattended cooking oil on the stove caused the fire.
