CHILTON, Wis–Fire destroys a house in Chilton. Crews were called to the home along the 1200 block of Fox Street just before 6:00 last (Thursday) night to find smoke and flames coming from one side of the building.
A man was trapped on the second floor, and was rescued from the roof by ladder. He was not hurt. A cat was killed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, although officials say it appears to be accidental in nature.
