State Representative Lee Snodgrass of Appleton has taken down a Facebook post criticizing former state Supreme Court Justice David Prosser after his death. The initial post was included in comments under an initial post by Representative Ron Tusler of Appleton praising Prosser, who passed away Sunday at the age of 81.
Snodgrass has replaced the initial comment with a new post in which she blames a conservative website for sharing the original post on the internet, and adds: “When you live a public life, your record, and your behavior are newsworthy–good or bad. I am certain upon my death, many of you will be joyously posting of my good riddance. I acknowledge that his legislative, judicial record and his anger issues were just a part of who he was and that the private man, who I did not know may have shown another side.”

APPLETON, Wis–Not everyone is remembering former state Supreme Court Justice David Prosser fondly following his death. Prosser passed away after a battle with cancer on Sunday at the age of 81.
In a social media post, state Representative Lee Snodgrass of Appleton writes “Former Justice Prosser believed in wasting our tax dollars frivolously, with huge giveaways to billionaires like stadium owners and polluters”.
Snodgrass also claims Prosser “…demonstrated hatred toward the LGBTQ community”.
She refers to an alleged physical altercation with a female Justice and concludes the post with “He leaves a terrible legacy”.
